Internal filter will take up the precious space of a small tank so an external will be recommended.
Actually what is the filtration rate of your built in filter? Any photo of your filter and media arrangement?

These top filter should be good with the media you use. If want better biological filtration, add more ceramic rings.
If the powerhead pump can be changed and you thing it is not strong enough, just upgrade the powerhead to a stronger one can already.

Not sure if any motorhead going to fit in . It label on the motor stating 500l/h . There are no more space in the top filter box, I am worry about overflow too.
I have a sponge filter hiding at the right side of the tank.

    Re: Hi! New guy here

Yes. a lot of evaporation in 1 week of up to 3-5 liters. But still it is cheaper than getting a chiller.
I am going to make my own auto top up soon. I already ordered float switch and relay switch to hook my spare power head to a water container.
Will post in DIY section or maybe DIY more to sell if got people interested.
