    The rhomboid barb (Systomus rhoomboocellatus Koumans 1940) is a very beautiful and hard to find south-east asian fish. Related to the tiger barb and six-banded barb, it is shy and schools together amongst vegetation. Once they settle down and their colours emerged, they are a sight to behold. They also make an excellent pond fish due to the shimmering and glittering edges of their scales when looked at from above. Try to keep at least six for them to school.

    Males have red anal fins while females have a rounder belly and colourless anal fins.

    damn, i didn't know how to diff the sex coz i don't really look at them. Mine exactly 6 of them, mixing with another Puntius pentazona pentazona.

    I counted 2 male and 4 female. females are much bigger in size, have taller body.
