my guess,1st is male, 2nd is female
Small Update.
Glossos are growing however VERY VERY slowly...No idea why.
1)Added some US fissidens on rock and mesh for the new residents
2)Added 5 pieces of grade A CRS(should be A not sure..)
Water Parameters:
NH4-0ppm
NO2-0ppm
NO3-25ppm
pH-6.8
A question. My water seems to be very alkaline...I was only able to achieved 6.8 after i increased my CO2 slightly to get it to the comfortable range for my CRS.
Any experts can advise how should I get it lower and maintain it?
I use GEX shrimp Soil...
Is lime/lemon juice added to aged water a feasible option?
Some pics of current scape
Some CRS.Can someone help me sex them? Can't seem to confirm their gender
my guess,1st is male, 2nd is female

Your tank is getting nicer and nicer. Give the glosso more time, It may still be establishing its roots. Natural Aquarium at Thomson maybe got sell as I see them having it in their tanks. Maybe later this week when I go down can check for you. I know new DW can help bring the pH down but will add color to the water also and please don't add any lemon or lime juice. Don't think it can sustain the pH even if it doesn't harm the CRS.
I won't want to put anything i pick up off the street into the tank. You never know what parasite you might introduce into your tank together with it.
The shape of the leaf is kind of shear shape. Looking so warp up, I can't tell and doubt it is.
AquaticMagic sells them online but not sure if the shipping charges will be worth it. They are Malaysia based but they have local distribution channel in SG.
Here is a picture of how it should look like.
Wait awhile more to see if anyone got any recommendation on where else you can get it.
Just checked and found that they are having free shipping promotion...

Roger that~
Will check the pH again tommorrow to see how it goes. Not very willing to use Ketapang actually as it will turn the water yellow.
If the pH does not stabilise i might consider putting some ADA soil in a breeder box...HAHA!
Do update me on the ketapang from Nature Aquarium yea?Thx!
y618 sells it. saw it ;ast week. ful trash bag of it
jeff: as for ph level, i'm using a pin point ph meter to a 2 decimal accuracy. measured at least 10 times per day for the 1t week of setup. ph stays the same when the lights are off. thats why i turn on the co2 24/7 even i'm using a solenoid. As i turn my light on at night. however, different tanks have different enviroments, for me my tank is near to the window, so in the day time the plants do get some light for photosynthesis. Do inject c02 when ever there is light, alot of people have algae issue is because lack of co2 in the day when the lights are off. (assuming they put the lights and solenoid on the same timer.)
just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the advice!
I will have to agree with the both of you~ it seems that my pH is stable at around 6.6pH with CO2 on 24/7. But thats just for one day. I will monitor the coming week to see if the pH can be maintained at this level.
If everything is well, I will just keep it on 24/7 to maintain the pH
Made a trip to C328/Green CHapter today and couldn't resist myself
New Stuff for CRS
New pasture(mini fissiden) for CRS grazing.
And kena poison by this piece which had alot of white and was graded as A
Nice, very nice. Poison spreading fast... I need to resist....
Time to try your hand at some CRS
Trying to resist the posion to start a new tank for higher grade CRS if i successfully breed in this nano
nice tank!!
turning your co2 on 24/7 will aid in algae issue, thats with potassium input of course
Is that a worm i see beneath the shrimp? If it is better remove it.!!!
