I just got these guys on the 7th of February 2011 and they spawned the very next day!
Talk about a good omen for the rabbit year!
While not a beautifull as C. napoensis they are much more economical!
The yellow-goldish tone in the base, the graduating green just before the caudal tail and the spotting makes this one of the more colourful Corydoras IMHO.

    Enjoy the pictures!
(Note: if you're sharp you can see a contaminant in the group of 7)

    @ jeffteo,
He was there to apply the "poison" to get me to buy them!
I think business is brisk at his work.

They seem to drop their eggs haphazardly.
The first round were all single eggs scattered all over.
After the quarantine tank there were some "group" drops of 2-3 eggs.
Unfortunately the eggs so far were not viable...

    Re: Corydoras similis

The temp is about 28C and so far so good.
I need the heater as the tank is in my bedroom and I have the aircon running at night.

As you know some cories actually thrive better in "warmer" temperature.
I was taking a bet on these guys as I'm not familiar with them or their temperature needs.
Well, so far so good... *fingers crossed*

    Thanks guys!
They are still dropping eggs every 2 weeks or so.
But no viable egg so far... the just turn white by the third day and disintegrate...
