maybe consider changing the background colour ?
I'd rather you leave the background as it is for practical reasons cos if you change to other colours, after some time, algae that is growing at the back will make it look unsightly. Besides it's also very inconvenient to clean the back of the tank.

Agreed, black background really helps make the algae not so visible.
Your tank looks quite ok. My attention is being pulled to the bushy plant in the middle and the stones separating the foreground and the back.
Maybe let the plants grow out first and review again...
I saw blue background at Y618 when I visited it this afternoon.
The plants are growing very well but I think the rocks are too small and do not match the plants.
Bro Eviltrain, gave me the same comment when I start my rescape, he comment that my plant is making my rock looks small.
I think it is turning out to be very true. Next plan is perhaps is to look for a darker color moss that grow downward to replace the nana
on the rock and also put in a taller rock on the left. Perhaps it will look better.
