As per subject, my nanas have not shown any signs of thriving. Instead, the leaves are turning yellow and its the 1st time i see this rotting effect. Previously were doing well in old tank, tank rescaped now.
Sorry i dont have much technical details. But at least my riccia on wire meshes are thriving, so im pretty confused why nanas not doing well.
Nanas are tied to pebbles to hold them down. Must they be inserted into the gravel, well into substrate? No right? I had previously done the same thing as i am doing now... So can any kind soul here help pls ?[]

Ok, my usual routine dosing is that of TMG's recommendations.
I should say my tank is pretty newly done up. probably only 3 weeks?
proportion of plants is rather low because i havent gotten the wood i wanted.
Rough estimations stands around 20% of tank volume. mine is a 3ft five plan so water volume is around 160+ litres including gravel, base and other decorative materials. CO2 is pressurised cylinder. Gosh, really dont have a clue what's wrong.
Bioload is rather low: 6 ottos, 6 Saes and 2 small platies lol.
Can i request for some help in dosing of my newly bought liquid fert

Your tank's bioload is low. So not providing enough of the nutrients N and P to sustain growth. TMG doesn't provide these 2 nutrients. Yellowing is a sign of N deficiency.
For a start, try putting more fish/ feed more often.

I say N too. Work out enough Aqua to give you about 25~30ppm of NO3 per week. What is labelled in the information sheet is NO3-N. That amount of NO3 comes with quite a high dose of K. I don't quite like that now.
NO3 in Aqua = 31.793g/l
K in Aqua = 51.711g/l
These 2 I remember only.
Looks like you need about 133ml of Aqua into 170l to get 25ppm.
Spread the nitrate dosage over the week in 2-3 dosages instead of all at one go as you may give your fishes a nitrate shock.. You can also use KNO3 if you want to do each stuff by itself and assuming a max uptake of 3-4ppm of nitrate a day and then doing large water changes at the end of the week to remove the excess if the plants are not at max growth rate. Feeding more is fine and takes care of the small portion of N in ammonia but too much of that and you will only trigger algae blooms...N in the form of nitrate is the safe way to go with.

i appreciate the concerns and help by you guys, but im pretty *blur* liao..
so i'll take it that i'll spread the 133ml of aqua in 3-4 dosages. or maybe even lesser than 133ml because i was also thinking of adding more fishies in the tank and "deliberately" feeding more to generate N.

i really really think that when i add my yamatoes into the tank, the growth of my glosso somewhat looks impeded. dont know why, izit true that they tend to feed on those small buds of plants as well ? thanks...

Glosso is an NO3 hog...your NO3 is probably too low and your plants are stunted by lack of NO3 as it seems. Keep your pH within the 6.4-6.6 range during the entire light period with a KH of 3 with CO2 injection only! Get your fertilizers in only after you have the CO2 fixed. N,P,K,GH (Ca/Mg), traces and PO4 are the stuff you need to get a fix on after the CO2..Go down the line..NO3, K, GH(Ca/Mg), traces and finally PO4 if you face issues with plant growth.

133ml of Aqua will give LOTS of traces. IMO, it will be better to dose KNO3 separately in a long run.----------------

Yes, BC is right there too.
oh no, so what should i do?
i have already added a capful which is equal to 10ml.
Bioload also increased to 22 platies.
1 amazing discovery: 1 X black & white snail spotted.
went teo's today, my "liason officer" there told me to "whack" liq fert after the photoperiod.
Any suggestions of my current situation?
