Just noticed that my hardworking yamatos are tearing apart my tonina's leaves! Seems that my algae control plan backfired. Guys, any solutions?

    Reduce the population of shrimps.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

How many yamatoes do you have, and what size is your tank?....if you do not want to remove your yamatoes, you could feed them with algae wafers...

Try feeding them with boiled cabbage or lettuce, they love it but make sure its boiled soft enough and left to cool, you can prepare a big bowl and store it in the fridge.
My moss wall used to be ripped botak by them but its all growing back after the above mentioned method. I have around 30 yamatos in my 3 feet now.

    This work for me.

Throw a piece of dry tubifex worms.
My yamoto actually swim all the way up and get hold of the piece ignoring all my tetra.

Then it slowly eat it at a corner avoiding the attention of the fishes.

Not sure if this work for all yamato.
At least it works for mine.
Unfortuately, only one fortunate yamato can get it.
Cause i only throw 2 pieces. One for them and one for my fishes.

    No harm trying.
