What nutrients are needed for a planted tank?

What nutrients are required for a healthy plant tank?

All these term: K2SO4, MgSO4 etc... I not really familiar with.

Can someone tell me in plain simple English what are the required nutrients, trace elements etc... to get?

kingfisher, i wanted to post up juggler's thread in the Aquatic FAQ on some articles about plant fertilisation, but it appears you are already aware of them.

I think those articles already provide very thorough information. How basic can you get? PLants need Nitrate, Phosphorus, Potassium etc..... you need to be familiar with at least these terms, and after trawling through the forum for a while, they will become 2nd nature. Most folks here aren't chemists or scientists.

Read those posts in the Aquatic FAQ again, try to digest the content, and then come back and try to share what you understand (or don't understand) about them. Then we will be able to continue on a better footing, otherwise I and others could jolly well post hundreds of paragraphs without knowing whether you will comprehend us or not. Thanks.
