    Nice!

How come the Riccia looks "fatter" than normal? Is it something new?

    Hi Juggler

There's 3 types of Riccia (dat i know of, at least...[])
Mini riccia (very fine), the normal riccia fluitans & finally the large riccia which u see in the pics abv. If u stay in the east, u can also see it in one of sam yick's tanks at pet safari (simei east point).

The other day someone here mentioned dat Ah Pek has the large riccia for sale....

Well - thinking of making 4 x 55W PL lights for my 4ft tank. But not sure if 55W PL lights and ballasts are easily available. Cheers!

Hi Alfa! Nice lookin' tank you've got there! I've seen this specimen in Taiwan two years ago. It was very expensive then. I understand that some LFS here is also sellin' this specimen. Wanna trade? I may have some plants you could be interested in. SMS me can? 9777 1199.

    benedict, why not?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

dun quite like it too, sorry...

looks too much like a veggie, abit like cabbage in water.

but then again, they look much easier to maintain than normal riccia.

btw, isn't the big riccia the sinking riccia?

i don't subscribe but if i come across the magazine that the price is affordable, i won't hesitate to buy it or i would just read the magazine in the bookshop.

Most of my magazine are from Taiwan,
"Aqualife, chinese edition" about total 20 issues(it cease published since 2000),
"Aquapets" Vol 3 to Vol 8
"Aquazoonews" Vol 1 till Vol 6
"Aquarium World magazine"Vol related to aquatic plant.
    and definitely,
    "Aquajournal"(English edition)

I realized the "Aqualife, japanese edition)at Kinokuniya is quite interesting, please go and check it out!
