It is definitely suitable for planted tank. And nope, it doesn't nib my plants (FYI, i have hair grass, riccia, red flame, lotus, rotola macandra, etc... no problems at all).Is the Altums Angelfish suitable for planted tank? Read that it nib plants?

I bought mine from Gan's. Adult sized should be around $45 each, while juvenile ones about $25 each. Hope this helps.

I just went to Plantas Aquaticas last week and I really like the setup there.
Btw, there are 2 more aquarium shops nearby (Eco-culture and Aqua-mart).
Hopefully there will be more of these shop around these area.

Altums are beautiful and majestic planted tank fishes. But be aware that they are great eaters or shrimps and other small fishes that can fit into their mouth. Do not under estimate how big they can open their mouth.

aquamart seems to have lots of equipment (aqualine etc)
planted stuff is in the back, but I can't say its a lot or not. anyway, its ok to look. (I think its 285 jln besar rd)

if anyone been to farm-mart, there is a shop just before the entrance of farm-mart, in the shop is a 3x2x2 tank with an amazon setup (javaferns on driftwood and e-tenne as foreground) with 3 (i think) altums in them. They tried to sell me at $65 a piece.

Was at Gan's yesterday. He has a display tank with about 20 pieces in it... jambu!!!
Was told that a new shipment of altums arriving this friday, but would need to quarantine for 2 weeks.
