    My gar is about 7 inches now (had it since it was 4 inches <3) and it's really FAT!! To the point where I think it has trouble swimming upwards. Is that normal? Is it too fat...?

    If the scales do not seem to be protruding, when viewed from the top, then it is probably fat or suffering from bloat. However, if it has dropsy then you have to find the proper medication.
