try to lay the fond pointing 1 directions, and use fishing line to tie them onto the driftwood. remember to wet the us fissiden frequently to prevent them from drying up when you are tying.
Enjoy the process~

It depends on how matured your fissiden are. If the fonds are long (Around 1-2cm) enough, you can remove the fishing line from the mesh, separate and lay them nicely on a flat surface and keep them moist. Sort them out in one direction, arranged them neatly on the surface that you want to tie. One thing to note before laying and tying is that you need to decide on which surface of your driftwood you want to tie to. Ensure that the surface is flat, avoid tying to uneven surfaces as the fissiden will fly out after tying. After tying onto the driftwood submerged it on water and inspect whether any loose fissiden fly out before you put it into your tank. That will give you a uniform look of the fissiden on the driftwood. Wait patiently for a few months and let new fonds to grow out.

Look at the newly tied mini-fissiden behind the matured mini-fissiden on the front. They are arranged in one direction.

Mine are all lay neatly in a uniform manner on the surface of the lava rock. Lay first layer of fissiden, then proceed with the 2nd layer below the first row of the fissiden. If you zoom in on the 2 lava rocks on the 2nd row, you can see the arrangement of the fissiden and the fishing line.
The front 2 fissiden on lava rocks are in matured stage. Initial tying is the same way as the lava rocks on the 2nd row.

Yes, the tying manner should be the same for driftwood to achieve lush matured fissiden. For your information, mine are mini-fissiden. I noticed a different between US and mini-fissiden is that when the mini-fissiden reached matured stage and beyond, the fonds will grow out in all directions encompassing all directions. Newly tied and semi-matured stage, you can still see the uniformity of the fissiden. But not in matured and lush stages.

You may be able to achieve the US fissiden to grow like flower(outwards direction all the way) by tying the fissiden with the fond all facing different directions. As for achievable or not you have to experiment.
haha will tried it tonite or tml once i got time...
