    It's about time I do a self-intro of myself.

Name's Roy. Age 34 going 35 in a couple of months time. Does it mean I'm middle-age now [] ?

Divorced about a year ago [] The consolation is I'm now single - available but not looking. Kinda envy all the happily married people with or without children out there. well, **** happen!

Living in Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, a few blocks away from Blk 69. Working in Robinson but normally in client's office. I go whereever the project takes me. Current project requires quite a bit of travelling.

Started a planted tank slightly over a month ago [] Kept fishes when I was a kid and my present aquarium is my first in almost 20 years. My goodness - how time flies [] The present aquarium reminded me how much I enjoyed keeping fishes. It's also a good distraction for me.

Besides the revived hobby of fish keeping, I enjoy a wide variety of activities such as reading, listening to music, watching DVDs, couch-potatoing, working on d-i-y projects around the apartment, snow skiing, in-line skating, lure fishing, travelling, trekking/hiking, photography, etc. etc. The list could go on and on, I will try everything once and enjoy the activities so much that I'll try them again and get hooked. Love cars, motorcyles and dogs. Got no car or motorcycle but have a dog, a miniature schnauzer, named Sandy.

Wow, this is one long intro. Got carried away []

    Cheers,
    Roy

    Hi Roy,

Nice intro. I also kept fishes long time back. Well, I'm a little younger than you are (32...[]

I actually had 3 tanks when I was in Pri 5 and 6 (or thereabouts) 2 X 3ft tanks with Cichlid and Tetras, and a 2 footer with Goldfish. Man! how fishkeeping has changed. Those days, it was a real struggle, I was young and blur and knew nothing about nitrogen cycles etc. Fish never did live very long, but they were a lot cheaper. I remember almost every setup was recommended an undergravel filter. Used to go to the shops at Dhoby Ghaut, you remember those shops? There was one called Red Sea Aquarium that had lots of nice Tetras....I wonder if its still around?

BTW, I'm an IC designer with Agere systems. One of those people that sit at a workstation all day looking at strange shapes!
