    Hi :

Most of my stem plants grew many roots out from the mid level . Is there something wrong ? I did not put any fertilizer in the gravel as this tank is temporary holding for the plants , awaiting for my 6 ft tank.

Its normal to have stem plants growing roots midway...
It mights be that you when dun have base fertilisers...the plants would have to scavenge nutrients elsewhere...Try adding Root monster.
To me its simple , as long as the stem dun melt or break off easily and its growing well.....i dun see any problem with it.

Agree with Irwan, used to have similar "problem" since using monter root lesser root growth in mid-section.
