    my java moss does not seem to be able to take root, it keeps floating up to the surface
    can any bros advice me on what is the best way to secure the moss to the gravel. thanks

    Hi,

    you need to achor java moss on something like a rock/slab, mesh or driftwood, don't think it can hold on to gravel well, besides if you have SAE/oto come by all will float up again if you don't achor them on something.

    Moss need to attach itself on something solid like rocks or driftwood.

    You can try some on small stones and place them on the gravel. After a while it will attach itself onto the stones.

    do you guys think it will wock if i put the moss on to a mash then use stones to hold the mash on to the gravel

    i think its best to tie it down to tiles with fishing string...
    or you can tie them down to the metal mesh since the mesh sinks as well...

    The moss will attached better to rocks with rough surfaces/uneven surfaces...i used volcanic rocks.
    After several weeks...just pull of some tsraying moss and you will find the rest are well attached..
