    Hi,

Feel like trying my hand at growing plants emersed. Can anyone offer any tips as to setting up the substrate and/or base fert, lighting and watering?

I'll be using a spare tank to plant, so I guess humidity level should be easy to control with daily spray misting. Plants will be from my planted tank. Any thing to take note of when transplanting them from water to land? I read somewhere that I should plant them in water, then allow the water to slowly evaporate, which will allow the plants to transform to emersed form more smoothly. Would that really help?

    Thanks!

Well, I'm considering transplanting some plants from my planted tank, but I don't know if they are suitable. Here are some possible candidates. Please comment:

    - Anubias bart. v. nana
    - Glossostigma elatinoides
    - Eleocharis vivipara
    - Eleocharis parvulus
    - Elatine triandra (possible?)
    - Echinodorus quadricostatus

    Thanks.

I dont think APP can. (Pls inform me if its successful) Judging from your list of plants, probably the most important point to note would be that your soil/sand needs to be constantly wet.

    Good Luck!
