Love your fish,
Dont give up on them
scientific name for it is Nesaea sp.
ryan, please avoid one-liner.. or at least have something more constructive than what you have provided above
redness in plants are attributed to three things:
a) Iron Supplementation (Fe)
b) Light intensity, in short for some plants strong light intensity forces the plant to get a suntan (ie: turn red). heh.
c) low levels of nitrogen (ie; nitrate)
Bro,
you'll need more iron and very very soft water... reasonably high light to achieve red. That's all I did and I achieved the following....
thats what i said. Fe.
ps: sorry simon, was brushed off.
How to add nitrogen to tank?????? From nitrate????? Fish poo enough????
I have added Fe, trace element, Mag and Potassium.

there is a thread entitled: "PLanted Tanks: Articles on Dosing" in the Aquatic FAQ section with loads of info on fertilisation. Locally, individual nutrients can be bought from Dr. Mallick.
