Just hope that you never clean the sponge too much. Add some additive commercial bb like BT -9. if your bio load is low, shouldnt be a problem la.
Hi All..
i have a small tank with some plants and some hardy cherry shrimps. i did all the cycle thing and whats not to set it up as best as i can, some shrimps are happy, some died..
but last night, i remove the filter media, which is this blue spongy thing and some black sticks and run them real good under tap water..(now i know i cannot do this)
1. How should i have clean it?
2. is there anything i can do to salvage the beneficial bacteria that i washed away?
i have not gone home to see the tank but i am hoping they pull through without too much damage...
