A simple yet natural way to grow carpet moss or riccia is to hold them down with plants like hairgrass or tenellus.

The moss and riccia will soon form thick carpet.

The hobby is much about creativity. Tying to driftwood is what some suppliers like Ah Pek (capricon) does. He ties them to bio ball and meshes too.

Riccia is rootless, as to grow it underwater, you can basically tied/stuff/squeeze it anywhere that holds.

    why sponge??? easier meh???

for mesh...no need to tie at all, just lay it on top of moss...much much more easier...

    really don't understand why sponge...
