    Hello,

A friend just gave me 3 goldfishes, can I add them into my 3ft planted tank?

Have other fishes like tetras, cories, 2 rams and 1 killie inside.

    Tks

You can actually.... but your plants will be a good source of food for them. Let us know how it turns out.
    Cheers!!

Just added them into my tank. Will see how things go.

I can't bear to see them living in a small glass bowl.

Have a pair of N. eggersi in my tank and they are very peaceful fishes.

I'm trying to breed them once they mature.

jonapur, there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of different species of killies, just like there are thousands of cichlid species. It's not possible to generalise about them. Have a look at this site for more information.

    Bro, should be www.killies.com []
    by Timebomb ...

Anyway Mdm, I always thot, that goldfishes create too much movement in a planted tank. Might have uprooting of plants. But ... there are always exceptions ... keep us updated []

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

It has come to the attention of the management at killies.com that some forum users when recommending our site to others have inadvertently mispell killies as killie. The managment at killies.com is grateful to these people for pointing hobbyists to our web site but like to emphasise that killies should always be pluarilised because we are talking about a large number of species, something like 700 in number.

We also like to inform all fish lovers that you won't find anything with fins on killie.com. But if you are interested in beautiful fish with amazing life-cycles, you should pay a visit to killies.com. You just don't know what you are missing if you haven't been there

The management, which in truth consists of only one person, the domain name owner, yours truly, would like everyone to know that when he wanted to register his own domain name, he was absolutely delighted and astonished to find that the name "killies.com" wasn't already taken. But even if killies.com was unavailable and killie.com was, he wouldn't have taken the latter because it wouldn't make much sense to create a web site around just one fish.

Therefore, the management (it's just me again, actually) who like to stress again that they are very grateful to hobbyists who recommend our web site to others, would like to respectfully remind everyone not to forget to put an 's' behind killie. We also like to point out you should always cross your 'T's and dot your 'I's too

    Sincerely yours,

    Loh K L

I give many of my killies for free to many hobbyists but never to anyone who writes like that.
