    PL light x 4 = $40 - $50 (AEC / Osram)
    Eballast x 4 = $40
    C Clip x 8 = $8
    reflector x 1 = $13
    other cosmetic stuff = ???

Buy a new one at Nature aquarium, with warrenty, professional look and nice to look at. No need make a mess at home or Trip the circuit breaker. No need to fool around with tools. saving 40%.

other wise can contact Badman, orgast to help you. should be able to save some $$$.

Just my personal experience: Want to DIY PL light so bought ATMAN casing, light, connector and other accessory. Then borrow tool (drill, rivet gun) from friend. After open the casing, found ballest very difficult to remove and cut my hand. Finally give up and ask Chan from NA to help to modify. At the end, spend more money.

I bought mine from a shop that helped me cut from a 4ft reflector to a 2 ft refelctor using just a pen knife. Should be quite easy to cut a 3 ft one if you are going to DIY.
