Hi, if anyone sees a 1.5ftx1x1 frameless glass tank, please let me know where to get and how much.

i figured my 25cmx25cmx30cm 18L tank is too hard to control water parameters, don't want to fail again.

seen your tank in another thread before,It's a rather complicated setup..Try to keep it simple,it helps alot.My 4L tank with 5crs(0 death for near 3 months already) is definitely more difficult to keep parameters stable compared to yours but I did it by keeping it simple..

bro, i think just get a 2x1x1.2 feet oceanfree tank. its cheap and good enough. 2 feet is much more easier to control for beginners.

    Hi Eviltrain

I understand but i really do have space constraint, the little table that i have to place it on is only a 50cm x x 50cm table, to have a 2ft tank mean about 10cm will be cantilevered...

    To tell you the truth,
I am also a beginner,I only started for a mere 4months.I myself is surprised that I am able to handle such tight range in parameters. Therefore i believe,if i can do it why others can't?With good guidance anybody will be able to do it regardless if they are beginners or not..

Here are some pictures that may help you..

Re: Decided to upgrade to a 1.5ft tank

sorry i do not have watsapp..

However base on my setup, you will need a new soil(better brands around are mosura, gex, benachi, borneowild which is all readily available in LFS. but mine is brandless tho.. ^.^) mosura old sea mud for the pre-lay.

BB wise, you should get BT-9 or seachem prime.(harmless to shrimps)

For a small setup like mine(4L)..a HOF is sufficient. my HOF is a china brand one though.(go get a better and bigger capacity one for yours)

A small fan like dymax that cost 20dollars?

A 5w light(not led,as it does not provide the spectrum and warm),you can get something stronger since yours is a bigger tank..

as for decors, get moss, ferns. normal rocks, driftwood. Do not use co2 in a small tank..ph will go crazy and hard to control.

for me my monthly increase in bills is about near 1 dollar..fan and filter 24/7 ,light 10hours.

ok go on and cycle your tank..!

After all this,i will teach you how i maintain my water parameters..don't know if it works for others but it works well for my 4L tank..

You think these are ok? I bought this BB compound thing to enhance the water and this plant fert recommended by lfs. If no good then I replace them. Don't know if these are the murderer of my shrimps

Actually you should look at the 'ingredient' of your fert and BB..no copper content is allowed..i advise you to use more trusted brand that other people in this forum use(without problems)..for BB use mosura bt-9 ..it can be used for quite long(for a small tank) or get liquid BB from crshaven, even other brands should work well.. as for ferts i am not very sure but i am using mineral plus by mosura..

I don't know what photo synthetic bacteria means..but maybe you should just change it..as for your ferts just look out for suspicious substance in the ingredient list.. copper is a no-no for sure..
