    Dear all,

We love to have nice pics of the fishes we keep but shooting at these fellas, in their tanks, really strains my patience. I end up with tails or gravel shots!

I've heard of small tanks that some uses specifically for taking fish pictures, a photo tank??

Has anyone customized such a tank? How large should it be, presuming that the fishes are no larger than 3 inches? Is there anything we should consider when setting up such tanks?

What about lighting, especially when control is restricted by built-in mini flashes? Would a remote slave coupled to manual flash make a diff, set at say 1/32 power? Would a top-box diffuser/reflector be necessary?

My DC is a humble Canon A-200 for now, until I can afford a G5 or something in the Digital EOS series (I have one of their older SLR model - 620, I think).

A sample pic taken with the A-200, in manual setting and macro mode...

    Any suggestions appreciated.
