Take your time bro... Do not rush things as it will not get it done properly... My setup are mainly secOnd hand item... Maybe what you can do is source for things you want to have use it and how many feet tank and are you going to have partition tank...

I do not have own house and staying with parents but do first and get scold later is ok... After setting up nothing can be done and can enjoy hobby already whahahahaha...

Warning!!! Apisto really poison and you will want to upgrade to more nice and rare species...

Do remember kick start with the normal species first like Agassizi or Cacatouides... It may seems to be easy to keep Apistogramma, But to get a good good pair is like buying 4d... Is either 1 die being wack by the partner or die with no reason... Slowly you will get the catch of it...

saw you listed the Shiruba 303... would there be a tsunami in a 1feet cube tank???

well Chris168... had both spieces and another type before i released them into a river behind my place!!! thats was April... had like 2-3 pairs per tank... but then the main focus was Pleco!!!
so tanks are bigger... water not much a concern... now a 1 feet cube makes me headache... used it to keep Betta then... no soil not worried with plants... hahaha but what FUN!!!

Leon maybe yOu can kick start with 2ft partition tank... With simple setup... Than upgrade to higher end species and bigger tank... But do take note is that once tank is partition very hard to reuse... Better get 3 tier 2ft rack and you can play scape and keep Apisto... One stone kill 2 bird...

hey Apistoinka... staying at my in laws at this moment so only a 1 feet cube MAX!!! looking to buy a resale but damn HDB not cheap at Bishan!!!

well Lucrado... only per pair each!!! i took a pair... someone reserved the Maniti... and left about three pairs left!!! if you want i can be there at their opening which is about 1pm!!!

well... Apistoinka... i had quite a few GEX L tanks left behind from my betta days so was think of reusing them... plus the ikea racks... plus the arcylic base i did... can squeeze 12 tanks into a rack...
thats why i am concern with the filters... GEX Slim S or M was ideal before i tried it... seems that the in the water motor heats up... the older GEX HOF abit bulky... now i realised that the Shiruba 303 i keep thinking about wont hot have space on the rack... think liao HEAD BIG!!! sleep better

From my experience,
Gex L Shape tanks can be used provided it is above 2x cm (near 30cm)+... If you pair is not too aggresive,it should not be a problem..
I bred my smaller apistos in those tanks (providing sponge filter/HOF).

Just dont overfeed them.. Should not be a problem
