rinse it in water with weak bleach solution and then thoroughly wash in clean water. Should be enough. I did that before introducing to my tank to get rid of anything that was in the moss. never tried using salt before though

Advice from boss Felix
Thank bro diazman, is it the bleach use for washing clothes? I will try it : )
one of them member taught me to rinse the plants/moss in anti snail solution(easily available from LFS).. haven try yet...
diazman, bleach seems a bit overpowering to me.. will it harm the fishes/shrimp when we put the plants into the tank?

Hi bros, will it harm the shrimps use the thin bleach?
You must 100% be sure to wash off ALL the bleach from plants before introduction into the tank. If you are not sure or confident then don't use beach dip. Too much can kill your moss as well.

go for H2O2, friendlier than bleach.
potassium permaganate crystals. Get those crystals one. Add some in a pail and soak ur moss in it. After a few mins u will be able to see worms and what not in the water. Check visually for snails or eggs. Remove as many as you can.
If you stay in/near Sengkang and don't mind coming to my place, i can spare u a spoonful of crystals (more than you will ever need).
I bought a coconut husk with plants on it from seaview once. Bomb it in PP and there were still snails in my tank. I think due to eggs which i did not discover.

Thank bro shadow, where you bought it?
Guardian or watson it is an antiseptic to clean wound. H2O2 also know as hydrogen peroxide

Best is not to use any at all if you have no experience with these chemical.
Quarantine in a separate container of tap water and black out the container for a day or two/three. Change water after a day to get rid of unwanted snails and others. Introduce moss to tank on third day. This apply to other plants as well if pests and algae is a bother. There's no rule of thumb to be one, two or three days.

Thank bro lizhien for advice,if I went to the place near sengkang I will find you: )

I never add .. last time i add those ancho worm, pest solution to plants and import into my tank, my shrimps died
Here we have bleach, hydrogen peroxide, potassium permaganate crystals, but if i get the concentration wrong . i think i still have problems introducing to the tank
I read H2O2 is used to kill moss/algae?
I see, thank bro marimo telling us this problem
hey guys , I did a research and read a site article on this 3 + alum, search aquajake
potassium permaganate supposely to be the best
here's the brief conclusion
hydrogen peroxide kills nitrifying bacteria , kills algae effectively , some moss are algae and may hurt the plant. it may kill shrimps
bleach kills all including snail eggs and also chance to hurt the plant. its kind of overpower 1:20 ratio for 2-3 min
potassium kills algae and most bacteria, also snails but may not be that good. 15 min soak
hydrogen peroxide and potassium by product is oxygen
Therefore remember to rinse with de-chlorinated water this chemical to be absorb into driftwood and plants and transfer into your tank
I think i will try potassium permaganate crystal
