It's not really rare, just too expensive. Few if anyone is willing to import the plant for retail at the moment. Wait a few months, someone might have propagated enough to sell at a better price.

As far as I know at the moment, its a slow plant and very little literature about the plant on the web.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Yeah... have to wait a few more months. I find that the plant needs quite a fair bit of light and cooler waters. (max 27) else it will slowly but surely melt away. Another high K plant!!

From what I've heard, the Thai farms are charging a bomb to export any to Sg. That's why no one dares to bring it in... before they even tag on a profit margin, the plant is already too expensive to retail.

I was at Teo's farm with a friend 2 weeks ago. Acording to him the Thais wanted to supply him $30.00 per stalk of Downoi.

I managed to get 1 stalk, now have about 8 plantlets.

    hi ,

Went to bangkok, chachuchat weekend market recently. Quite surprise, they have many varieties of plants. The much talked about Downoi is selling for B500 or S$22.Bought a few stalk for B400 each. They also sell homemade liquid fertiliser,co2,etc.

Thought of sharing some pictures here.
Go to http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/petlovers2116 to see the plants and some "hot" stuff.
