    How much will it cost for me to buy christmas moss enough to cover a 3 by 1.8 feet mesh?

    Where do i get the christmas moss? cant seem to find it even at ah pek fishfarm.

    I have seen packets of moss which resemble christmas moss at Petmart selling quite cheaply at $5 (quite a lot of moss in the bag). You have to tie the moss yourself to driftwood or rocks.

    Bioplast sells this nice Xmas moss variety, and though it may not be the cheapest, I think you could probably get a nice bundle for less than $20, bits of which could be attached at regular intervals to your mesh.

    I don't think it's necessary to cover every square inch of the mesh from the start. For one, if your tank conditions happen to be unfavourable, the moss will die off and your $$'s down the drain. On the other hand, if your moss thrives, they will fairly quickly spread all over the mesh by themselves.

    the Bioplast moss I find does well in medium to bright light (1.5-2.4 wpg) and likes coolish water (26-27 C). A couple of fans should be enough.

    hi,
    The last time i went to Gan's farm he was selling one tupperware for 12 bucks, think it was Xmoss or Taiwan Moss la. Harvested from his display tank. tupperware size is the same type used for take away tao suan.
