    Hello Bros,

What is the best PH level for tetra & altum angel? Currently, my water PH is at 6-6.5, is that alright for them.

    Thanks for the advice.

You can't just look at your PH.

You must also know the KH in order to find the PH/KH/CO2 relationship.

As long as your CO2 is not above 30ppm, it should be fine for your fishes.

Usually, tetra prefer acidic water. Hence, you may want to have a KH of less then 4 to provide the acidic condition.

Actually, it's not really a big deal at what pH is required. Fish like tetras and Altum could be quite forgiving. Just make sure the pH does not fluctuate too much and do a proper acclamatization when introducing them into your tank.

Is the tank planted? If yes, you should not have much worries.
    Cheers!!

    Hi to all Bros,

My tank has some driftwood plants but without any CO2. My tetras are doing fine but recently I introduce a pair of altum, which formerly is in water of PH 7, whereas mine is 6-6.5. I can see that they develop some small white patches on them. After water change, the white patches are gone and the day after, it appears again. Could this be due to the change in the PH compare to previous water?

    Thanks for the help.
    Cheers
