Re: ---Please help to ID these Corydoras --
Hmm. After a little research into the topic, here's what I managed to dig up.
C. Melanotaenia - It's also known as the "elongate bronze cory" and with good reason, as at first glance it does indeed resemble C. Aeneus quite closely. However on further inspection the differences between the two become apparent. Corydoras melanotaenia is unsurprisingly the more elongate fish overall, and has a distinctive golden/yellow tinge to the fins.
C. Eques - Although similar to C. melanotaenia, its fins are not coloured and it is a shorter, more compact fish. The area around the gills is bright orange.
C. Aeneus - (In short, which does not help) A very variable species.
* All descriptions of the subspecies are referenced from PlanetCatfish and/or SeriouslyFish.
Personally, I would go with C. Melanotaenia due to the fact that they do seem to have a sharper "face" than pictures of C. Aeneus that I have looked at. Does seem to fit into the C. Melanotaenia description.
