    Anybody here knows the difference between the 2? Tried to google but they both looked the same to me. Pictures would be good too.

    Different species, coral purple pencil fish is nannostomus rubrocaudatus, coral red pencil fish is nannostomus morthenthaleri.

    I guess that the middle line for rubrocaudatus is thinner than for mortenthaleri?

    Although I still cant see the physical differences between the 2. Is there any distinct differences? The purple looks redder, but that is subjective.

    The only physical difference i can spot is the different in thickness of the middle line on the pencilfish and that seems pretty consistent.
