    Hi all I just decommission a 17l nano tank. Can help me with ideas on what fishes i can keep in this tank? Would not like tetras as already have them preferably something more interesting.
    still learning the hard way!!

    17L is a rather confined space, so the fishes that can be kept in it shouldn't grow any bigger than 3cm & not too aggressive as well. Based on this condition, tiny schooling fishes would be an ideal yet general preference.

    Otherwise, small yet solitary sp. can be the perfect frame for the picture as well. Unfortunately, I don't know which species interest you but I can give you some of the not so common list of fish sp. if you want.

    Purple coral pencilfish makes a nice addition to any aquarium, they don't grow big but aggressive towards their own kind like most other pencilfish species in an especially small confined tank, so you can only have one & that's all. I like purple coral pencilfish but couldn't find them, so I settled down with a Coral red pencilfish, Nannostomus mortenthaleri instead. They are just as beautiful as Purple coral pencilfish when they settle down.

    I think I decided to use Guppy. Now doing planted tank with emerged hc first
    still learning the hard way!!
