Got some driftwoods, mosses, bolbitis and ferns. Decided to throw them together to rear my cherry shrimps. Put everything together in 1 hour.

    Please comment.

    Cheers

Very good environment for your shrimps.

A bit dark leh, though the shrimp will love it. It'll kill my eyesight trying to look for the shrimp. I'm doing up a small 15" shrimp tank too, but allowing my mosses to grow in the big tank before transfer.

Nice and wild looking. But the moss are a little too messy for my taste.

Try to level the gravel for better visual effect, especially at the front.

Nice, i like! Glad you have been making progress and friends in the hobby Vincent (and no hard feelings if i had ever whacked you in the past, here or elsewhere ). For such a tank, make sure though that CO2 and fert is adequate, or algae like BBA can be a headache.

    Thanks for the comments,

Will level the gravel as suggested. Think the mosses will take some time to "bite" into the driftwood. As for nutrients, I will be keeping regular dose and will be setting up a DIY co2 pretty soon or if no one can offer me a decent price for my 3l co2 set, I might use it on this tank.

And yes Budak, I think I really got to know more friends in this hobby and I don't think you have inflicted any pain to me, not to my limited memory that is .

Cheers all and more comments welcomed.

to prevent having real messy moss, one way is to start from scratch again.

Use very thin layer of moss and spread them evenly. Go a few more rounds over the moss/wood with the fishing line and when they grow out, will be much much neater.

Actually for those moss that I tie, it is already spread very thin and fishing line is all over the place for the drift. Those visible mosses are actually those that I bought from Teos. They have "eaten" into the drift or rocks.

Teos have very nice and bushy driftwood with christmas moss. The price is extremely affordable (the one on the extreme left). Can go down to take a look.

    I sound like an advertisement.

Actually yes, thought I have a 2 feet curved tank but turned out that it is totallu scratched. So I have to use this glass tank to start. Sorry about that. I would not want to sell you the 2 feet curved tank (nisso) coz it so scratched that it's hardly presentable.

    Apologise once again.

Missed out the part of apistos. I set up this tank solely for the purpose of keeping my 30ish cherry shrimps that I have. I might well set up a similar setup for apistos if I can get a permit from the CEO of the family (wife).
