i have a feeling its the heat from your lights that are killing it. i have frog bits too + water lettuce .. before i was using light with a lower stand, now i change to one with a higher stand and they seem to be doing better.

    Low tech tank FTW!

even me have abit problem like this.. abit of rot is normal IMHO.
But if it all your frog and their hardly growing any new leaf to replenish the current population then something is really wrong.

I used to have very healthy frogbits until i introduced yamato and guppies into the tank.
Ocassionally small amount of fish food will get "stuck" on the roots of the frogbits and they love to nibble on the roots of the fogbits thus in turn destroying their roots.

Some yellowing of old leaves are normal but when you see new leaves melting and old ones being full of holes, it means the nutrient in the tank is exhausted, usually a macro nutrient like nitrate, potassium or phosphate. Not really a bad thing, if the purpose of your frogbit is to suck all the nitrate up

    i had a experiment

I scoop them to another container and was given the same fert but on low light led 24 hours for 3-4 days, same tank water for 1 week already

the tank floating plants still display some uglies leaves and light green

Hope you are right bro. That is my underrstanding as well. Personally i once had frogbits bloom when the tank was much neglected. Although other plants were not doing well, frogbits were multiplying aggressively with long long long roots. But after upgrading to a bigger tank with pressurised co2 and regular water changes noticed yellowing leaves and short roots. Multiplication almost disappeared overnight. Googled to find the cause and came across the good news. Something to the effect that when nutrients absorbing plants are not doing well, it is an indication of a healthy tank. Certainly like to hear from people who will challenge this theory.
