    Hello,

I have been using daily/weekly/monthly dosing preperations for some time now, I like to think I'm getting a feel for it.

I would now like to specalise and try my hand at adding each component seperately.

Content wise, I think I can manage, but where do you get the various ingredients?

    Respectfully,

    David.

    Ah,

The problem is... I live in England.

Perhaps there are some 'on-line' providers ?

    Kind regards,

    David.

Try Hydroponics stores. They usually will be able to provide you with what you need. Where about do you live in England?

Well, I'm not having much luck with these seperate component forms of the PMDD.

    The Krib Version (Sears/Conlin Paper)

    2 Teaspoons (~14g) K2SO4 (potassium sulfate)
    1 Teaspoon (~6g) KNO3 (potassium nitrate)
2.5 Tablespoons (~33g) MgSO4-7H2O (fully hydrated magnesium sulfate, aka epsom salts; omit if present in trace element mix)
1 Tablespoon (~9g) Chelated Trace Element Mix
    (7% Fe, 1.3% B, 2% Mn, 0.06% Mo, 0.4% Zn, 0.1% Cu, EDTA, DTPA)
    300 ml (1.5 cups) distilled H2O

The standard pat for the realms is:

Potassium sulfate is sold as All Green in garden centers. It can also be ordered through pharmacies. An alternate source of potassium is Seachem's Potassium. Another choice is KCl, sold as muriate of potash in hardware stores.
Potassium nitrate is sold as stump remover in garden centers.
Magnesium sulfate can be found in grocery and drug stores as Epsom salts.
Chelated Trace Element Mix can be ordered from hydroponics shops or garden centers.

I have found one or two things wrong with this statement.

    1. Pharmacies are loath to sell these compounds to members of the general public, as there is no gurantee as to what they will be used for. i.e.: Making bombs, getting high etc.

    2. Buying pre-prepared manufacturers feed goes against the whole principle of PMDD.

    3. There have been reports of this 'Stump Remover' to be inneffective in the aquatic realm.

    4. Chelated 'Mixes', again, what's the point.

If I could find a mix, and no other source was available, then perhaps I might be pursuaded to use it, but again, there are conflicting reports of the mix actually freeing up useable nutrients.

    What to do...

Any advice, pointers or wisdom would be most aoppreciated.

    David.

    Try here.

I think Dr Mallick does delivery. Madan from India ordered some DPTA Fe from him and was so glad with his service that he posted a thread about his experience here.

Referring to your other thread, I don't make my own fertiliser. I make individual salt solution with KNO3, KH2PO4, K2SO4 and Rexolin APN and dose them separately.

Why doesn't England have something like that ? (Perhaps they do, but I havent come across it)!

Thanks for taking the time to point me in the right direction.

    Kind Regards,

    David.
