Not necessary... Pasir Ris Farmway is not exactly a fish farm... they are many LFS, just because they located at Ulu area doesn't mean their stuffs are cheap. I Think the only farm there is Ah Peh Plant farm.

    America Flag Fish
    Florida Flag Fish

Pics got off the web, never mention about the whether they are the same... they looks alike SO are they the same?

One of them is so plain in colours. The one I saw is the lesser colour type, the 2nd pic.

    Jordanella floridae

its called american-flag fish because it looks like the stars and stripes.

its wrongly called florida flag fish because it originates from there.

According to what I read for the net... this fish is very hardy, super die hard, can handle wide range of PH, Hardness also fresh and brackish water.

So I think White Spot is chicken feet for these fellow. give it a few drops of Anti-Ich should cure it.

AFF does have its trade-offs for its algae eating capabilities....it is aggressive and esp so for the male...so beware b4 buying.....

I got 2 Flag Fish over the Christmas holiday at Clementi C328. This fish does eat hair algae, it practically tears the hair algae out from the wood. This fish only comes out when the light is on. I was told by my friend that it is a very agreessive fish so have to watch out....

I bought 2 of them as well. I have not seen any agressive behaviours towards other fishes in my tank, I keep cardinals, licorice gourami, mollies. . . In fact they look quite shy to me, prefering to hide near plants.
