I am planning to setup a small tank (9" deep) and would like to grow a small Echinodorus and allowing the leaves to grow above water. Can anyone recommed an oval-leaf Echinodorus that is suitable for a small tank ?

    Thanks

    Try here.

They show pictures of their plants and a short write out on each. It should help you decide.

Or pay a visit to Teo's Farm.
You can see for yourself some emersed growth of Echinodorus sp. among their cement tanks. Possibly can buy one from them and start with planting them emersed.

    ahh...echinodorus....

I really love the echinodorus rubin "narrow leaf" and echinodorus oriental. So far these are 2 of my favorites.
