    Hi Guys

My hairgrass already covered fully the length of my tank in the front.

However, just acquired a pot of HC and now got trouble integrating them.

Presently i have removed the hair grass on right corner and raise the gravel to plant my HC.

In the process i find the layout very un-natural.Been giving me nightmare since!

Any suggestion as to how i should have done it?

    Thanks

    Stephen

That's the trouble with HC (hemainthus callitrichoides). It's very difficult when you have very little to work with. If your hairgrass is too thick/dense, it will look like the HC is running into a wall (of hairgrass). You can try thinning out the roots of the hairgrass right next to it so that the 2 plants will grow and blend into each other. You can also have some other short plant in between to provide some transition. Another way is to have a raised effect by planting HC on moss-covered rock/driftwood. The HC roots will cling onto the moss and eventually spread and drape over the rock/wood. I'm trying that out now and find that xmas moss works better as it grows flatter. Java moss will cover up the HC.

Suggestion--give me the HC! that would solve your problem[] [] [] ...just kidding![] [] []

you can try terracing with some rocks, sort of making a little hill for the HC...
    ...I love rubies too ...

Only place so far after Aquarama03 will have to be Far East Aquarium. Going for $15 for 1 pot.

    Cheers!

To all the bros that contributed in solving my headache the other time, have finally decided using rocks to partition them. Quite like it so far.

    Thanks alot!

    Hi Mandz

I think you are fooled by the picture!

Its just tht i took the trouble to plant them in tiny portion.

Once in awhile i will get afew floating. This is caused by the shrimps or SAE disturbing them.

And vitri, thanks for the compliment.

    Stephen
