Very Cool and neat setup Brother, but the red gravel didn't make the cherry shrimps look obllvious and outstanding and seem like cover by the gravel colour..............

What is the black sponse things that ubbles come upward ??????

Do you have co2 or purely bubbles only ????????????

I notice you have all low light plants, nana, java, moses

I also on my way to set ups a shrimps tanks...
    Thanks in advance

nice setup, which looks larger than it is.... if your bioload isn't heavy (less than 40 shrimp), try doing away with the filter totally.... and just do weekly 30% water changes. This arrangement works for me....

I have a HUGE and ever growing population of snails (huge headache!), about 50 cherrys inside and 2 botia sidthimunki.

The botias are newly added, hope that they might help overcome them snails.

    Eddie,

the black sponge thing is a filter and those are normal air bubbles. As the plants are all low light plants, CO2 injection is not really neccessary, but I am considering.

I thinks the plants grow better if added co2 .......

Did you put base fertilizer below the gravel ????????

How about the temperature control ??? inside air con ????

sorry to ask you so many questions... really like your tanks...hoping to setup another at the office ....would appriciate your kind contributions ideals...

Very nicely done! I love the colour of your plants. Very healthy. Perhaps can lay a carpet of moss so the gravel is so distracting. Also can think about adding a bit more plants for a "jungle" look and to hide the filter.

Very impressive. I am curious how you managed to create the impression of height by growing the nanas among the wood and stone. Did you build up a pile of pebbles and wood, put gravel among them and planted the nanas in?

There is no base fert. All I've got is some liquid fert and 2 root monsters below the Nanas and Java Ferns. Temp is maintained ard 28 degrees by a A/C fan, no air-conditioning.

Unfortunately, I've no more mosses. just waiting for the moss to grow in and help disguise that huge black sponge. BTW there are 3 different mosses in there: TAIWAN MOSS (from Nature), XMAS MOSS (FROM SAM YICK) and WILLOW MOSS.

The Nana that is on the top of the scape is wedged between the cervices of the driftwood. The only pebbles are piled on the left (with a purple crystal tortoise) and scattered ard the front to hold the "tunnels" leading to the rear.

Already seems to be a jungle, hardly spot them botias. hmmm...

    Hi

    It's a nice tank.

Maybe you can use a black background wallpaper to cover up the wires and to make your tank more stand out.

Or you can make a moss background wall. Think your cherry shrimps will ready like it.

    Thks.
