I thought those famous Taiwan or Japan breeders all had big farms?

Like I mentioned, my examples are drastic and all taken from research. I was waiting for someone to point out how tedious it would be. Hehe
Not really though, for the breeders I visited in Japan, one use small sitting room to breed his red bee shrimps that hold about 10 tanks, another one use a small corner of his house partition up to keep shrimps, another about 8 tanks or so. They dont use multiple tier, but standalone tank with canister filters. These are pretty unknown breeders, but there are lots of unknown breeders in japan breeding good shrimps, concentrating on 1 line, 1 type.

Only a few of them has large scale breeding area doing for commerical purpose.

    Thanks for sharing more Silane.

So it would appear that most breeders do not favor line breeding methods. And for good reasons too.
Line breeding is useful for maintaining very stable genes or doing very selective breeding to refine a phenotype while removing undesirable traits, especially defects. Shrimp breeders however, need to balance production with refinement. As for maintaining purity of ancestral genes, they leave that to inbreeding. Can I say that?

So then, what info should come with a shrimp?
F0 source, ancestries and estimated age of colony?

Japanese breeders, in general practise inbreeding for physical/visual traits, I have yet to hear any famous claim he exchange genes with another famous breeder. However, I do know some breders has different lines with improved growth rate and prolifity.

F0 source (from which breeders, which country)
    ancestries (which lineage)
estimated age of colony if self bred
days of arrival of if imported by EMS or legal freight (by mail (EMS) import take 3 to 4 days in box, this affect the health of the shrimps vs legal freight which reach within 10 hours and has health check by exporting country), if main purpose is to import for resell.
reasonably good photo, especially the side view.

If photo are provided, cases like this can be avoid:

Luckily im only budget crs hobbyist. Too much things to go through to go in such details.

But hor, any chance that the line become too inbreed and end up sterile?

If my memories serves me, I recalled that BKK and WR had sterility issues during their initial months. F4 or something and they suddenly stopped making out.
Even now, they not as prolific?
