I swore to secrecy..not to tell anyone. I can't hear to see such a place being trampled by people looking for free plants, etc. Well, I must say that place I went to..it is truly amazing.[] []

BUDAK! look at the border of his pics, it says "secret location@central catchment".

wynx, very nice pics. strange some of those crypts are not griffithii, which is supposed to be the only native crypt (other than the × timahensis).
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Hmm, the pics are nostalgic to me indeed.

I lived in that kampong area many many years ago.

You know what guys, it's the place where I learnt catfish can sting! Hehe!

    Nice pics!

    Hwchoy,

Have to agree that there were several types of Cryptocoryne available at that location. Cryptocoryne Griffithii surprisingly is not that profilic there. I can count Cryptocoryne Wendiit, Cryptocoryne Cilita, and some others crypts too. Can't positively ID them. I do hope to see Timahensis soon.

    Happy crypting then :P

    Wow -- paradise.

Don't need to poach these common plants. As they can be bought from Teo Farm or LFS cheaply.

Let's keep it that way for our children to enjoy as well. Thanks!

Wynx, you are an honourable member of the fellowship of the crypts but how dare you venture on your quest to Crypton Ville without me?!?

BTW Wynx, did you see any crypts flowering. Water level looks low with some of them growing out emersed. Good chance to spot some I think.

    Geoff,

Yes, Fellowship of the Crypts. I like that idea. Seriously speaking, it was kinda last minute thing between Simon and me.Weather was kind yesterday and it was my off day.

And sad to disappoint you, we did not managed to see any crypto flowers. I guess it is not the season.

Sure, as a part of the fellowship, I am sure you get to visit the crypto heaven soon. Keep your fingers crossed...

When my son grows older, this is the kind of place I would bring my son to during his school holidays.

    wynx,

Glad to know that you are keeping this place confidential. Cos, lots of nature spots were thrashed by irresponsible so called "nature lovers".

Great photoes! Another place to be cherished for our next generations.
