i just set up this tank, for my crayfishes and the goldfish are there for fun :/

Anyway my question is what type of moss/plants can i put on the land part ?
And is the plant that is there now safe ?
And is there another to "mist" the tank ?(Currently just splashing around)
One last question, what plant is that on the left? doesn't float very well :/

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

    Low tech tank FTW!

    Hi sevenZ

I love your setup! I must say it very creative for the first timer! You deserve a small gift if AQ allows me!

Okay, the left plant is supposed to be immerse in the water just dip it into your sand with twister, nevertheless, this can use for paludarium to support your fauna rather than using the air bubbles.

Just use java mosses and nanas for the land part. If you can use rain-bar continually flow of water to keep your plants alive and also replace this air bubbles as well.

I must say with regret, your poor goldfishes will be dinner for your crayfish at any time, and you choose.
    cheers

The plant on the left is a Water Chestnut or Water Caltrop, either Trapa natans or Trapa bicornis.

I guess that the goldfish are feeder goldfish, they will become food for the goldfish sooner or later. You may need a cover for the tank as I know that crayfish can crawl out of tanks.
A power head with a rainbar can "wet" the land area. If you want can get some moss or nanas as these are easy plants.

Thanks , the air stone is just there to help create a current to clear up the water , did not intend to leave it there!
i think ill just remove the plant, its kinda huge haha. although i may try sticking it into the sand!
i was thinking of an ultrasonic humidifier ? is there such a thing for small tanks like mine?
ill go with the java moss! the nanas too if i can get petite ones! thanks again eddy!
and haha the goldfishes are to for show. and yes they are intended to be eaten

    Hi sevenZ

I have been thinking to built 1.5 ft palu in very very near future.

Just leave the plant alone, it created the kind of peaceful effect. You may add an ultrasonic humidifier. However, this isn't going to wet the land flora well.Try used small pump or Eden external canister to connect rain-bar can is really good for the land flora well.

I'm soon going to conduct the casual discussion real soon, hopefully you can enrich yourself there, hor
