you may quarantine the plant for a day or two and soak with salt for about a few minute. that's what i usually do, so far so good.
Hi all,
I have got some moss in my shrimp tanks, and notice that after sometime, bugs like copepods, tubifex and nemadtodes appear.
I understand that they may be present due to over-feeding as I am guilty of this initially.
However, when i seeked advice from a LFS, they mentioned that it may have been introduced into my tank from the moss / plants that I bought from other LFS. When i purchase the plants, i just did a simple rinse, and placed it in my tank.
As i am planning to start a new tank, is there any way i can eliminate this problem completely? is there a better way to "quarantine" the plants before I introduce to my tank?
Would leaving the plants in a seperate tank with some fishes help? If so, what fishes can i use?
Looking forward to some advice on this bros... thanks!
