i've read sumwhere that u actually need to soak the driftwood 1st b4 putting it in the tank...
another method is to slowly boil the wood to get rid of the brown colour from the driftwood...

No. They are not harmful. If you feel that you should have clear water. You can make use of Active Carbon in your filter. It should clear it up within 2-3 days. However, take note that Iron and trace may be taken by the carbon as well. Its your call now

yap...i soak the driftwood for a few times liao but it is still staining my tank...sigh ..maybe will use Sleepy_lancs idea by using active carbon ...
