Its weird but i want to grow green dust algae

Hi bros,

I know its weird for me to want to know how to grow green algae instead of getting rid of them because i have a shrimp tank.

Normally my tank will grow brown wall algae and soon it fills up the 3 sides of the walls excluding the tank and my tank starts to die off. I have been doing research trying to grow green algae but i keep getting brown algae.

I only know that green algae happens when my tank is low in nitrate ?
well here are my tank parameters

2x 24 watt T5 lights
nitrate 0
ammonia 0

Can anyone guide me on this ? I sort of wont want my tank to breakdown again

I am facing green dust algae , for new tank uncycled.
high ammonia, high light, high nutrient, my rocks cover with green dust.

but i read they will die off in 3 weeks time..
I think they look great on rocks, makes them look seasoned but its not sometime u can maintain or keep as you wish to.

hmm do you mean green spot algae? cause i cant find anything when i search google images except for green spot algae haha

green dust and green spot are two different algae , green dust is lighter in colour and spread wider area (easy to wipe and clean )while green spot are dark green small spot which require scraping to remove

oh i see hehe i somehow like green spots better especially on rocks! they give off the more "ancient rocks" feel ^^

Anything can help advise how to grow a thick layer of green algae on rocks?
