    Hi bros.. I do not own a RO/DI unit. i read in the forums its better to use distilled water to top up.
    Is the brand Dasani water safe to use to top up ?
    I've bought a few bottles but after reading, got some confusion.
    hence need some advice.

    Their website states that their water is purified and remineralized for bottling. A PDF report on their site also states that they add in salt (did not say what type), potassium chloride and magnesium sulfate. If you have your doubts, just go with distilled water like Life brand and such.

    Go for Life brand distilled water..very cheap!

    It also depends on the marine system you are keeping.

    Coral tank are more sensitive to presence of silicate, phostate content in normal tap water which encourage diatom growth. If FOWLR system, perhaps normal tap water (treated with conditioner) will suffice. For off the shelf DI water, Life brand is cheap and readily available.

    I guess usually most will use Life brand water, hv not heard of using Dasani distilled water to top up.
