    Lighting

    Hi,

I've got 4 x 55 watts of that with 12000K. Bright brother bright. But I shall change it to 8000K later when the useful time expires.

The casing is kewl as well.. black with a strip of golden top. Not too bad. Got mine from NA. The casing stretches from end to end for my 4 ft tank with about only 2 inches blind spot which is much much much better than normal NA casing. The only thingy I didn't like was that the stand isn't easy to put in place and the casing can be scratched easily.

10000k lights are mainly used for marine tanks.
said to promote algae growth if used for planted tanks.

    Light

Yeap.. 10K is too high... seriously I would ask you to think carefully. I would rather go for 8K which is much cheaper and lesser headache. with 10K you will be asking for alot of green spotted algae or hairy algae. Thats my personal experience. The choice is yours. I am replacing them slowly.
