Java and mini christmas turning brown

My java and mini christmas that i got from my friend is turning brown lately.Any suggestions to make it turn green again???I have lights on for 6 hrs a day but it doesnt seem to work.

You would probably want to wait for more opinions before taking action, but here's my two cents.

Perhaps if you only got the moss very recently, it is possible that it is taking some time to adapt to your tank's conditions, and growth will resume soon. If not, your tank's water may lack nutrients, and you may want to consider adding fertilisers or Excel to the water to stimulate some growth.
