    Hi all,

I have a 1.5 feet heavily planted tank, GEX slim HOF. And dosing dymax flora and dymax iron and excel (all at 2/3 does). I have 10 cherry shrimps and 3 otos that are all doing well.

I also have 5 Golden Tetras, but they are forever hiding, and stay very close to the ground; sometimes they are even 'sitting' on the substrate!

I wanted more active fish, so I took out my tetras into another tank, and bought 9 Borara Brigittae instead. I put them in last night, and when I came back from work today, I realise that that 5 have died, and the remaining 4 are doing the opposite of what my tetras used to do. They are now all staying at the surface!

In summary, my 2 problems are:
*Boraras dying and the alive ones are at the surface and inactive
*Tetras are staying on the substrate and inactive mostly too

What is happening to my tetra and boraras man...pls help.

Do you inject CO2 for this tank? I have no idea what substrate you are using. A few more details will be necessary.

Boraras require careful acclimatisation or they will die easily as they are fragile. Tetras should not be so lethargic. If they remain at the bottom something is bothering them.
    Fish.. Simply Irresistable
    Back to Killies... slowly.

I had Borara and they like to stay at the top.
Yes they are very sensitive. Ensure that your PH is around 6.5.
