    for a 6ft x 1ft x 2ft tank, you might need a few bracing.

you can use it as planted or iwagami too. i'm interested with the fiber optic lighting too.

    enjoy your stay here.

Hi Neopet, welcome to AQ. Looks like its you who has things to share with us. Do post in the Equipment forum if you already have fibre optic lighting set up, or if you have interesting links about that to share.

Hi all , wow i did not know so many bro here keen in the fibre optic lighting. Is basically a light source passes light through the fibre without giving any heat and current. Is a very save item to be use in water. Is have been use at many high end condo and luxury houses . I will do a experiment to share with you bros here. Btw teach me how to attached picture.

Items use - 150w metal halide lamp, some glass fibre from swaroski , some L bracket.

I see, would it work for normal people who stay on HDB? because sunlight only come at certain time of the day. Assuming the fiber optic can be fitted on the window or outside wall

Fibre optics is usually fitted on the ceiling. With a dimmer, it can create a star like effect. Have not seen it implemented on the fish tank due to the cost. Very keen to seen the pic of the tank on the results

    Red face Re: New member

Dear all , you can use the direct sunlight and transmit the light into the fish tank but the fibre length must be long enough , that will cost more.

I am using a cut length about 8m. Will be doing a DIY holder and 150w generator. I will be trying on a small tank to see the result in a month time. Will update with picture on how the set up . Stay tune.

Have a nice weekend ahead. I am busy setting up my shrimp tank.
