I'm currently using DIY CO2 with a Dernnerle Flipper. The bps is very low at 1 bubble per 3-5 seconds. But my plants are doing quite well due to the efficiency of the flipper.

I'm thinking of getting a pressurised kit to injet more CO2 into the water to promote really good plant growth. I have 45W of daylight for my 2x1x1ft tank and it's quite OK, riccia is pearling, plants are releasing tiny bubbles of O2.

Where can I get a decent set for my tank size at a really cheap prize? Please share your shopping experience thanks!

    --------------------------

I also notice hair/brush algae on my Japonicas, and it seems my 3 yamatos and 3 otocinclus don't really fancy them. What's the best way to get rid of them without havig to take them out? cos they're deeply rooted.
    I'm back!

    Co2

Wow. Thats about 3 wpg. You should consider putting in cylinder. You could try at c328 or check with tts for pricing. Price would be slightly cheaper if you get second hand. For long term, a 5 litres will be cheaper because each top up regardless of size will still be same amount of $ in most lfs.

    I think 45watts for a 2ft isn't alot, I believe some members including myself using 72watts

    Aeon
A 2nd hand will be cheaper if you want to cut cost. Or else, you can pop by Nature. their Co2 system is reasonable priced

LOL! 45W is wrong my mistake. I have 4 15W tubes so that makes it 60W.

Who knows where to get cheap 5litre?

One of the member 'CT' justed posted on the Market Place to sell his 2L CO2 tank for $50.

CO2 tank rarely damaged even if second hand. Unless you decided to hammer the hell out of it or drill a hole in it to release the CO2..just joking, please don't try these methods..it's deadly.

You may want to consider a second hand to start with.
